Comments: Starting at Target, so named because it is on the site of the old US Air Force rifle range, we set off up river towards the Gates of Heaven. Could not understand where the name came from. Walked down the Sacobia River for ten minutes before doing a left turn to follow a small stream up into the mountains. Prior to reaching the waterfall we had to wade waist deep through a small pool. As the water had been getting colder the higher we went this was freeze your bollocks off time. The ladies didn’t seem to notice anything different. Before leaving, some of us went exploring a narrow jungle trail. After twenty minutes we turned back through lack of time. At a later date this trail will be checked out. On the way back down to the Sacobia we stopped and shared some lunch with Aetas at one of the larger pools. Saput and Maylene were photographed with the whole tribe. A copy will be sent to London titled Jack, the wife and in-laws.
