Comments: The original plan to climb Mt Arayat was called off due to heavy rain, so in the absence of ideas we decided to repeat a walk done with Single Malt in the Bamban area. We set off bravely in steady drizzle up the San Nicolas valley tarmac road for fifty minutes before crossing the scenic ridge to Dap Dap. With time to spare we retraced our steps to find another way down the ridge. It was here that the drama started, because the way down was quite narrow, muddy and treacherous, especially in the rain. Then it was back to MacArthur Highway to find transport  to Angeles.     I.M.
