Comments: An exploratory walk up the Malago River which when it passes Bamban town further downstream has its name changed to the Bamban River. Started at the spartan no frills Korean church at Sta Rosa, no preposterous, pretentious architectural twaddle for the Aeta’s. We went as far as we could upstream of the Malago, deep pools and steep gully walls stopping any other adventurism. Poor Panda having to be kept afloat by two sturdy hashers amid some frantic doggy paddling. We were looking for a way out of the river eastwards to Burog for a returning loop but alas it was not to be.
