Comments: A familiar tried and tested area for SM and Induces but new for everyone else. From the Porac River beside Sapang Uwak we went the shortest way up to the ridge leading to Villa Maria. It is also the steepest way by far so we made the Nipa hut at the top our lunch and rest stop. We followed the Villa Maria stream as it meandered its way through bright green rice paddies and occasional small mango plantations before we headed off towards Pio and well earned cold beers at Lorna’s store near the local school. Believe me these beers were the coldest that any of us had drunk before so we just had to have a couple more before leaving.
