Comments: Starting at the entrance to Orchid Hill Resort it was straight up the hill to the landmark tree and large rock at the top of the ridge. This is a great viewing point looking down into the river valley and west towards the South China Sea at Bauang and Paringao. We then walked along the ridge to Bato where we crossed the Naguilian Road to finish off the hike by following the river down to the town of Naguilian.
