Comments:
The
entourage of Homo sapiens who are hiking fanatics and a couple of daft
canines get together to march to the famous mountain that only a few dare to
conquer. Closer to the “Sleeping Beauty” two hikers decide to
change route, their brains have the will but the body says stick to the
lowlands. As we ascend higher and higher gasping for every breath we take
just to achieve our ultimate goal, the summit of Mt Arayat’s North Peak.
Expecting breathtaking scenery there is disappointment as clouds block it
from the spectators, yet Nimbus feels pity and disappears intermittently to
give her audience a bird’s eye view of the Pampanga Plains. Leaving the peak
and its loyal guardians we make a detour to the ivory rock that unfolds to
us the uncorrupted paradise that survives as an untarnished Eden. This is a
journey worth the risk, especially if you fancy sharing two crates of SMB
ready to heal your thirst afterwards. See you again next year. S.S.I.
