Comments: This was a short hike regarding distance but it was quite tough. We walked along the ridge at the back of Clark overlooking the Sacobia before clambering down a very steep gradient into the river. Then upstream about half a kilometre until we entered a small tunnel in the lahar face that led us to a narrow path going up the other side of the river. We were now on the flat following the Sacobia upstream. Here we made a detour up to an abandoned fire watch hut for a good view of the surrounding countryside. Then it was through some wild vegetation and banana trees to the Sacobia. Unfortunately the last thirty feet of the trail was nearly vertical and we, especially Induces, had some trouble getting back down into the river. Now it was upstream to the Gates of Heaven to climb out of the river yet again and travel along a dried out riverbed to our favourite barrio, Target. Having successfully sneaked past Target it was on on to Sapang Bato and home. (We will have to find an alternative shorter route past Target).
