Comments: The majority who never made hike one six one didn’t hear the hare utter the words “we shall return” plagiarizing a statement made by some other luminary from Philippine history. Well here we were back at Santa Juliana where we were given the usual friendly going over at the military checkpoint before being allowed to proceed. At the designated lunch stop a prodigal hiker kept moving on without marking the turnoff’s taken. The rest of the pack wasted one hour thirty minutes checking out all connecting trails to no avail. So, it was on to the Bueno Ford all the while marveling at the majestic scenery on the way despite the rain and fog that was just a minor annoyance. Of course our disappearing hiker was there waiting for us. All’s well etc, etc
