Comments:
Twenty three first time
hikers including a large contingent from the traveling hash “Solstice
Hash On Tour” of Malaysia who had requested Mt Pinatubo as today’s
destination. Everyone had a great time and all the visitors were
suitably impressed by the beauty of the Crater Lake. The day was
slightly marred when on the return drive down the O’Donnell River one of
our jeepneys got bogged down at the last crossing before Santa Juliana
the driver going off the racing line so to speak. It was nearly an hour
before we got the damned thing free from the soft lahar and even then it
took the intervention of a passing 4x4 to finally get the job done.
Thanks mate; we probably would have been there all bloody night.
