Comments: A pleasant hike looping round and then through Kamias via the great view point overlooking the Gumain River as it flows down from Mt Negron. An untried trail from Kamias after looking really promising for a couple of kilometres turned into a real dog’s dinner of a mess. Nobody wanted to go back up to Kamias again so we all forced ourselves through some dense undergrowth until it turned into a trail again as a friendly farmer who was working in the bamboo nearby said it would. Even then it added an extra four kilometres on to the hike because we had to walk in the exact opposite direction that we wanted to before it turned back towards the sugar mill.
