omments:
A late
start for some of us as our driver, Armpit, was forty five minutes late
due to his being in an extreme tired and emotional state the night
before. Walking to the summit was relatively easy as it was on a two
lane concrete road and some of us completed the seven kilometres in one
hour twenty minutes. Armpit in his befuddled state tried to short cut up
a single file track and after reaching his own mini summit eventually
made the summit proper a good two hours after everyone else. Goodness
knows what our hare “Induces” got up to as he was never seen from the
beginning until the end. After departing the summit and it’s amazing
Cross we went hunting for a real trail to take us back to the bottom and
we found a beauty, jungle terrain, a mini waterfall, monkey’s that
executed a quick runner when we disturbed them, an ominous looking wasps
nest and near the end a picture book rice paddie valley. Elen and her
two friends from Phuket Hash had hired a taxi from Manila for the day.
Domingo the driver decided to do the walk with us and when he reached
the top found out that he had exceeded his capabilities in doing so. He
was unable to walk back down again. The ladies had to drive his taxi to
the top to pick him up. I hope they got a refund.
