Comments:
Everything worth mentioning happened before we even started walking.
We had just exited the roundabout at the bottom of Astro Park (old
historical name) when Boy’s clutch conked out. Thirty minutes later
it was still no go so we hired another jeep for a single journey
job, Boy to catch up later. As our new vehicle pulled away from the
kerb four Filipino guys jumped on and tried to squeeze into
nonexistent places. Well the reason we got the jeep so quickly was
because there were literally scores and scores of empty jeeps all
around us going just about anywhere and busing about in the P.I. the
last seat taken is always the one beside the foreigner. So only
conclusion—pickpockets as the two male Angeles hashers had been near
victims in the past and knew all about their operational procedures
so they were politely asked to leave. It was a private hire anyway.
We had six visitors so we went to Dap Dap and tried to give them the
best of a very nice area. No complaints afterwards as they were
happy so that of course made us happy.
