Comments:
Ugly
charcoal pits all over the numerous
trails on this south westerly side of Mt Arayat and they are starting to
tickle the dense scrub and forestation on the top four hundred metres of
the mountain. Every footpath leads to a couple of the dreaded pits. I
suppose with the price of cooking gas being so expensive people will
only use what they can afford so down with the trees. But then again
with the Pampanga Agricultural College being so close maybe there is
some grand scheme to convert the barren bottom slopes into fruit bearing
orchards. Dream on.
