Comments:
We started at a brisk pace passing
the Expo 2000 white elephant, the entrance to Marcos village then across
the near one kilometre long Sacobia Bridge, aka Smugglers Bridge. We walked over the
mango plantation ridge and down to the causeway over the Sapang Cauayan
River, the feeder to the nearby Sacobia lake. Up to San Martin for the
good view down into the Malago river valley. We headed farther into the
mountain range before turning, at Burog, onto a single file trail, which
again took us over the Sapang Cauayan River and in the process getting our
feet wet. Keeping to this track we eventually came back upon the Sacobia.
We walked upstream until we came to the path leading to our favourite
gate, Gate 14. Past True North Golf Course yet again, (will it ever be
finished?), and a jeepney back to Fields for our usual well earned beers.

At San Martin, looking Into The
Malago River Valley.
