Comments: We travelled by banca to Barrio Kinabuksan on a small beach between Sharks Point and Macmany Point. There was only one trail going inland which we duly followed. This eventually took us into some jungle type terrain about five hundred metres above sea level and beneath the imposing ridgeline of Mt Silanguin. We suffered two on backs before deciding that there was no more trail going forward. So, disappointingly, it was a quick return to the beach. It was lucky we had plenty of time to spare, as there was a long wait for Mary “Induces” Poppins to finally catch up. He of course got his bearings all stuffed up and arrived at the wrong side of the narrow lagoon separating the barrio from the beach. Rather than get his feet wet he commandeered a banca to take him the twenty metres to the beach and our hired banca for the journey back to Barrio Barretto.
