Comments: After the usual hour of criticizing Armpit for his lack of ability to organize transport, we were off to a ‘new’ area in Camp O’Donnell with (S)ado (M)asochist all the time mumbling through his wires about not having time for the planned itinerary. Which was just as well in view of what followed, a five and a half hour route march across hills, riverbeds and swamps before we got lost once again in a banana plantation. It was left to a Negrito farmer to put us on the right track-up a virtual cliff that almost did in 0055. The trail on top was a good deal more pleasant until our appreciation of the views was overcome by the more palpable problem of aching feet. Once on concrete, 0055 and I.M. surprised the pack by surging to the front through the simple expediency of jumping on a banana truck. They became the heroes of the hour when they commandeered a jeepney in Dap Dap to pick up the newly demoted stragglers. Even Cherry Godfather considered the cost of a hundred peso's each for such deliverance worth it. Then it was On On to the Birds where a curry dinner soon reduced our taste buds to the same level of suffering as the rest of our bodies. Still, this was vintage MAH3 stuff, for the happy few who qualify as the hash elite.   I.M
