Comments: We have found a different way of getting to Patling, more than half of this trail being new to the hash. We managed to find our way to the ridge going parallel with our usual Malasa ridge trail on our eastern side and the Bangut River flowing through the valley to the west. We also found a different path going down to the Bangut River tributary with no name. This trail on its downward part was near vertical in places and pretty hairy as the saying goes. It will not be visited again. For some reason we were walking very fast this hike with minimal rest stops. Must have been something in our morning porridge.
