Comments: You can’t really blame Single Malt for fouling up occasionally, after all he leads most of the hikes. But this one was as close as you can get to failure, four hours of “We’re The Fukarwee” stumbling around in grass and rocks without getting anywhere. Perhaps the highlight was Rella’s reaction to the application of surgical spirit to her grass wounds. The way ahead may be to repeat good old trails rather than look for new ones all the time.
