On Home: O’Donnell River, 9½ kms Downstream of Mt Pinatubo Crater On On Home: Anchorage Inn Comments: This is the second time MAH3 has gone to Mt Pinatubo. We had to start two kilometres farther downstream than the last time because a couple of our vehicles got stuck in the river. Nothing much has changed in the river since last time, no vegetation being allowed to grow because storming rainy season floods washes everything away, the high lahar walls shining in the sun. You could make an old style spaghetti western in the desert like surroundings. The crater is still as beautiful as ever. Anyway it was back to reality when we returned to our transport to find that about half our beer had been nicked, pinched, stolen, borrowed or whatever. Cheers lads, hope you enjoyed it.
