Comments:
It took an hour to climb the steep
path leading to the half dozen or so communication towers at the top of
Telegraph Mountain. The panoramic views of Olongapo and Familiar Peak made
the effort worthwhile. Then keeping Mt Malasimbo slightly to our left we
traveled for about six kilometres along a narrow winding path dodging burning
bushes, sliding down a long dusty hill before arriving at the San Pablo
Hills Resettlement Barrio on the road to Olongapo. It was then a forty
minute fast walk on the highway to our transport in Tipo all the while
keeping passing motorists amused at seeing a bunch of scruffy foreigners
sweating their balls off in the hot afternoon sun.
